I will travel to you on your wedding day. Hair and Makeup trials are by appointment only in my Studio in Gales Ferry, CT.

As soon as possible! It is recommended that you reserve your event date as far in advance as possible to have a higher chance of your date being available as I often book out 6 months to 1 year in advance. I operate on first come, first serve basis and I can only reserve your wedding date with a contract and deposit. Please contact me for availability.

I recommend you schedule your hair and makeup trial AT LEAST 2-3 months before your wedding to have the look fresh in your mind but you can schedule at any time convenient for you, however, please keep in mind peak wedding season is between May-October so do not wait until the last minute to book your trial.

I strongly recommend for the Bride to bring photos of her dress, veil, desired hairstyle & accessories, and any photos related to the wedding theme. The more information received, the better we can create the desired look. I ask that you come to your trial with no makeup and dry hair. A hair and makeup trial can take up to 2 hours so please plan accordingly.

Yes! I LOVE the look of false lashes as it helps make most eyes "pop" and just finishes the look. I can apply either individual lashes (softer) or full sets for a more dramatic effect at no extra cost.
-
Technically no, however I recommend everyone who will be in your photos to have at least their makeup professionally done because wedding pictures are forever!
-
Yes! I use eye shadow base as well as special primers for each skin type, depending on normal or dry skin. I then set all of the makeup with an amazing setting spray. It will last the entire night, in fact, I bet you will not want to remove it at the end of the night!
-
Only if needed. I will bring along an assistant depending on the amount of time given and the number of people getting their hair and makeup done.
-
Please allow approximately 30 minutes set up time prior to the start of your service. Have tables and chairs readily available with ample lighting. If booking a hotel to get ready in, I recommend that you ask for a room that has plenty of natural light. It is best to wear a buttoned down shirt or zip up hoodie to avoid having to pull anything over your head. Any allergies to any makeup or hair products are to be mentioned prior to the start of service. Facials or skin treatments are not recommended less than 14 days before service is rendered due to the elements that are brought to the surface can cause breakouts.
-
I accept cash and credit cards.

I am currently available in-studio and on-location in the New England Area. If your occasion is outside the New England Area or out of the country, please contact me for availability and out of town fees.

Your Beauty Journey Starts Here
βI worked with Vanessa many years ago in a styled shoot and instantly loved her personality and technique! When it came time for my actual wedding day, I knew Vanessa was the only hairstylist/ makeup artist I trusted to truly make me feel like my most beautiful self! She was responsive in messaging as we planned the big day, answered my crazy questions along the way, and honest to goodness just made me feel so special for my big day. I canβt thank Vanessa enough for her professionalism and amazing work!β
